The Swiss tiny stove turns the interior into a warm and comforting cozy shelter. It also helps reduce excess humidity, contributing to a pleasant and balanced indoor climate.

The tiny-stove module draws its combustion air through the storage floor of the module from outside rather than from the room, keeping indoor oxygen and air quality unaffected.
The compartment beneath the tiny stove takes logs, kindling and pellets, enough for several days of heating. Stays warm and dry, within arm’s reach of the fire, makes refilling easy.

Carbon monoxide is odourless, colourless and life threatening. It forms through incomplete combustion in gas cookers, heaters and stoves, or enters from outside sources such as running engines. The detector raises an alarm well before levels become critical, and covers smoke in the same unit.

Thanks to their lightweight construction, COCOON modules can be airlifted by helicopter to remote or restricted
areas such as mountains, rooftops Skyscraper or nature reserves, where conventional building was not possible for ecological,
legal or climatic reasons.

Conventional recreational vehicles are typically built from laminated composite panels: synthetic polymers, fibreglass, carbon fibre, plastics, foams, resins, plywood, MDF and aluminium sheet. These are bonded with structural adhesives and sealants that can release emissions over time. The COCOON is built from solid pine, wool and cotton, with no glue, paint or chemical treatment.
The COCOON-freelancer is weight-optimised to be transported on a regular driving licence, as a cargo load on a
standard 3,500 kg flatbed truck (Large Van, LCV). This makes it a vehicle-independent solution and a sustainable

The COCOON module is secured to the flatbed or trailer with three tensioned straps, concealed beneath the exterior facade instead of visible exterior.
As a standard load, this keeps the vehicle fully independent from the load and requires no special certification or regulatory approval.

country roads, Danish coastlines and Norwegian fjord routes, including extreme wind, rain and storm conditions,
showed stable and predictable driving behaviour, comparable to a van or a passenger vehicle.
At a cruising speed of 90 km/h, the COCOON-freelancer achieved fuel consumption of under 9 L/100 km, even with
its uncompromising cubic form and heavy load weight.
In a high-speed resistance test on the German Autobahn, the loaded 3.5 t vehicle stayed stable and
predictable at up to 140 km/h.

Untreated larch is naturally durable outdoors thanks to its high resin content. Over time it develops a silver-gray patina that shields the wood beneath from UV light.
To completely eliminate the risk of water infiltration, the design deliberately omits roof windows. The edge profile is shaped to channel rainwater runoff away from the facade and rail fixation screws. Beneath the surface, the design incorporates a fully breathable ventilation layer, allowing drying and moisture dissipation between the interior and exterior structure to prevent condensation.
Each board is oriented to hide its end grain and fixed without exposed screws, with no glue or surface treatment on the exterior shell. Water runs off instead of collecting, and the wood can ventilate and dry completely.
Engineered with unglued mechanical connections that let the wood expand and contract naturally.
The joints leave room for movement, so the structure can absorb physical loads, torsion and internal stress as the climate changes, reducing the risk of cracks.

Crafted by innovative Swiss moon wood manufacturer LINDAUER.ch , these interior kitchen modules blend ancestral carpentry heritage with precision CNC engineering to create completely glue-free, mechanical wood-locking systems.
The COCOON combines high-tech precision with ancient Japanese and Alpine interlocking joinery, creating stable structures without glue. Glue lines can weaken over time with changing humidity. Numbered, pre-cut solid pine parts of a COCOON cabin, 32 solid wood tables or doors measuring 200 × 100 × 4 cm stacked on a pallet in the workshop are needed for one cabin.

Moon wood tradition
WEIDLICH Moon Wood Manufacture is a family-run workshop in the Bavarian Alps, dedicated to glue-free moon wood furniture since 1991. This rare expertise is practiced by only a few known dedicated craftsmen in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan.
Since 2018 Weidlich Started building houses with the Thoma Holz100 system, used worldwide for everything from tiny houses to multi-story office buildings. Thoma gives a 50-year guarantee against mold and condensation on Holz100 houses.
Untreated moon wood needs no chemical protection, coatings or paint. Its breathability lets the timber dry completely, helping to prevent mold and decay. Over time it develops a natural protective patina, so no repainting is needed. And without glue, there is no adhesive to fail.
Moon wood is timber harvested in the cold winter months, between the waning moon and the new moon. In winter, trees are in sap rest, with water bound within their cells rather than free in pores and cavities.
Spruce, larch and exclusive Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembra) are sourced from local forests cared for by families for generations, ensuring sustainable stewardship, exceptional wood quality, full traceability and minimal transport impact.
The wood is air-dried outdoors in several stages over years, until it reaches the stability needed for minimal shrinking and swelling, reducing cracks and warping.
Moon wood is traditionally valued for containing less sugar, making it naturally more resistant to fungi, worms and insects. No chemical wood preservatives are needed, benefiting both the environment and human health.
